Philip Conteh & cohorts dragged to CID…

The head of ‘Attitudinal and Behavioral Change’ and cohorts are in the nets of the Anti Corruption Commission and are in smelly police cells at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

Philip Conteh (in photo), who doubles as Director in the office of ABC fell in the hands of ACC officials for alleged corruption involvement.

It is reported that Philip Conteh alongside his deputy, Allieu Kamara, conspired with others to swindle money meant for public use.

Allieu Kamara aka ‘territorial integrity,’ is said to be on the run and could not be traced at all.

It must be noted that Allieu, who many refer to as political chameleon, moves from one political party to the other on food finding.

He was sympathizer to the AFRC junta of John Paul Koroma and acted as Spokesperson II for the movement, later attracted favour to the SLPP and then to the APC where he now reached his demised.

At a press conference held at the Office of Information Ministry, the head of the ACC Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara, informed the press that Philip Conteh, Allieu Kamara and Zarto Kamara swindled US$ 113,000 issued them for the running of the office of Attitudinal Behavioral Change (ABC).

The amount is reportedly donated by London Mining Company to the office of ABC in furtherance of President Koroma’s clarion call for change.

He said persons found culpable will be charged for misuse of donor funds, abuse of office, abuse of position, etc.

It must be recollected that the head of ABC, Philip Conteh, was appointed by President Koroma on account of his Diaspora and party affiliations.

His mandate as head of ABC would have been to propagate the doctrines, beliefs and views of ‘change of attitudes’ as enshrined in the charter.

Whether or not all arrested will be released on bail, is yet to be seen.
