BKPS on electricity progress

As a way of complementing president Koroma’s Agenda for Prosperity, the Bo Kenema Power Services which is charged with the responsibility through an act of parliament to provide electricity to the people of Bo and Kenema is on twenty four hours electricity supply to these cities.

Recently, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of this entity, Mr. James Rogers spent about 5 days at the BKPS Dam site at Ngoala village Dodo chiefdom to make proper maintenance of the Machines and upgrading the power of electricity supply which the people of Bo and Kenema have started enjoying.

Speaking to the CEO, Mr. James Rogers at his Office in Bo city, he revealed to this medium that the management of BKPS through the robust support of President Ernest Bai Koroma to see that the people of Bo and Kenema have quality electricity supply they are fighting tooth and nail to have standard 24 hours electricity in this raining season and according to Mr. Rogers budget has been prepared and forwarded to President Koroma to help make proper maintenance of the Dodo Dam Machines and that of the Bo thermal Machines which will substitute the Dodo Dam in the dry season. there are two workable Machines in the Dodo Dam and two are in dare need of proper maintenance which will commence very soon sooner President Koroma disburse the Money. The problem of inconsistence electricity to the people of Bo and Kenema will be a thing of the past. There are other good plans to our consumers in terms of stable electricity supply,“ Quoted CEO Rogers. He further lavished praises to President Koroma especially when he factor energy supply as a priority in the government agenda for Prosperity nationwide. When assuring consumers on constant energy supply, he pleaded onto them to do pay electricity bill on time and with the actual amount consumers consumed especially for those who are still using the old Meters or post paid meters. He promised of changing those remaining post paid Meters in Kenema in the not too far distance as a way of providing a level plain field. Explaining to galaxy of journalists in his Office in Bo, he furthers that Kenema and Bo people will see Electricity shortage as a thing of the past when they should have been in energy apex. He applauded all hands on deck to achieve the President Agenda on electricity.
