African Union Chairperson Arrives Today
The Chairperson of the African Union, Her Excellency Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma (in photo) arrives today in Sierra Leone.
Her Excellency Dr. Zuma will be accompanied by the Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Africa, Mr. Carlos Lopes and a combined entourage of fourteen persons.
Her Excellency and entourage will meet, discuss and interact with His Excellency Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma on pertinent issues bordering on the Ebola outbreak in the West African sub-region.
The purpose of the visit is to show solidarity and to express her support for commendable efforts to the government and people of Sierra Leone to contain the Ebola pandemic. Her Excellency will also discuss the African Union’s currently on-going comprehensive efforts to combat the Ebola epidemic.
