Caulker will be cleared of match fixing says Anthony Bailey

Hammers FC Director Anthony Bailey is confident that Sierra Leone and Hammers FC goalkeeper Christian Caulker (in photo) will be cleared of match fixing allegations that have been levelled against him by both the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) and the Ministry of Sports if an investigation is conducted.

The Sierra Leone international has been out of the Leone Stars squad for about four months now since the alleged match fixing was levelled against him and 13 others, four whom were active players for the national team Leone Stars, “We believe in integrity and we do not care at all what was said or happened as a club we will stand behind him because we have known him and he is not such a person,” he said.

However Caulker has made himself available anytime if the FA set up an investigation noting that as a player my duty is to play and now we have been deprived of that right by placing a charge on me and my colleagues of a crime we did not commit and will never do, adding that they love their country and will never betrayed Sierra Leone.

According to Caulker he has had so many offers from top clubs in the USA but they have advised him to clear the mess as they cannot signed him until he is cleared by both the FA and the Sports Ministry, but the most disgusting part of the story is since he was told that he was involved in match fixing he has not been investigated by nether the FA or Sport Ministry of any football body.

When contacting the FA to get their side of the story everybody decline to speak on the said issue.
