Consumer Agency Certifies Gulf Mineral Water
A recent survey conducted by the Consumer Protection Agency (CPA) commended Gulf Mineral Water for its 0% bacteria fee water.
Head of the Consumer Protection Agency, Mr. Ibrahim Kabia quoted the Sierra Leone Trade Policy as stating “the protection of consumers against unfair practices and unsafe products is a public good that the Government must offer, especially in a developing country like Sierra Leone where consumers are not well organized and illiteracy and poverty are prevalent.”
Mr. Kabia further stated that Gulf Mineral Water is of high quality with standardized equipment to manufacture the product and urged management of the company to maintain standard and other water companies to emulate the example of Gulf Mineral Water to enhance the health of consumers.
Gulf Mineral Water Production Manager, Mohamed Nasser informed that the company was established in June, 2014 necessitated by Government’s trade liberalization policy and open market competition that has created room for increased availability of different products in the market with a corresponding increase in risk for the sale or provision of spurious goods and services.
Mohamed Nasser further disclosed to this medium that the company produces water to meet the demand of the market, that its relationship with other companies in the sector is cordial and informed about plans to produce quality beverage drinks.
He continued to reveal that Gulf Mineral Water has outlets nationwide with renowned companies like African Minerals Limited, The Place Resort at Tokeh, Randison Blue Hotel, Hotel Mariam and IMMAT among others as its customers adding, “due to the quality of our product, several companies and institutions want to do business with us. To satisfy your thirst, drink Gulf Mineral Water which is 0% bacteria free.”
