Sierra Leone Parliament approves seven

Parliament on Tuesday the 12th of May 2015 approved 7 presidential nominees to various public institutions in the country. (Photo: Approved Nominees before the House of Parliament )

The approved nominees are

  1. Hon. Dr.Raymond Saidu Kamara, as Board Member Environmental Protection Agency
  2. Mr. Yahya Labay Kamara,as Member, Sierra Leone State lottery
  3. Mr. Aina Vivian Solomon Bell,Member, National Commission for privatization
  4. Alimamy Sesay ESQ.,Member, Minerals Advisory Board
  5. Mrs.Agatha Evelyne Benjamin, Member, Minerals Advisory Board
  6. Mr. Arnold Renikah Mason, Member, Minerals Advisory Board and
  7. Rev. Lawrence Lawson,Member, Minerals Advisory Board.

These nominees were interviewed by the Committee on Appointments and the Public Service a week ago under set criteria of educational background, tax obligation, track record, declared assets, working experience and the vision for a successful and nationally productive tenure.

Members of both sides of the House commended President Koroma for nominating experienced Sierra Leoneans to be part of the public services in the country.

Both leaders of the house urged the nominees to work in the interest of the nation, while the Speaker of the house, Hon.S.B.B Dumbuya, congratulated the approved nominees, wishing them well as they carry out their responsibilities.
