Teteh to reinforce squad ahead of Cote D’ivoire tie

The recent outing of the Sierra Leone national team, Leone Stars, friendly match against Eastern Region Premiership club Kamboi Eagles FC, was not convincing for the Ghanaian boss to have faith is the young lads, despite they won by 1-0, their performance was not impressive to convince Sellas Teteh.

This has left the Ghanaian with no other option but to reinforce his squad with some foreign based players who have good playing time at their clubs in Europe, America, and Asia.

Leone Stars will host the reigning African champions on the 6th September in Lagos, Nigeria and Sellas Teteh is expected to assemble a formidable side that will match the strength of the Ivoirians who over the past have had an easy ride over Leone Stars.

From the look of things it seem that MLS top goal scorer Kei Kamara and AIK Forward Mohamed Pobosky Bangura are the ones that will be leading the striking line for him, also the inclusion of other players will be seen as a sigh of relief for Teteh who came also to raise his profile as Alhassan Crespo Kamara will be out of action for a season due to injury.

However it is still unclear that the marriage between the FA and the Sports Ministry will still continue as the FA has sought peace to make football in Sierra Leone more valuable; but the Sports Minister has said the FA has not informed him of any of the arrangement for the national team. As a ministry we believe in the basic principal of the game, if they come to us, we are willing to work with the FA Sport Minister, Paul Kamara said.
