Nimba United recruit 3 Sierra Leoneans for CAF Champions league

Liberian CAF Champions league representative Nimba United has beefed up their squad with  the signing of three Sierra Leoneans on Liberia 2016 Premier league transfer deadline day  and also for their CAF Champion league opener against Cameroonian side Union Club da Douala on the 14th February 2016 in Monrovia.

Rangers Lamin Janneh 24,Kamboi Eagles striker Amadu Barrie 25, and Victory Evangelistic FC Midfielder Foday Suma 21, have all penned a year loaned deal with the Liberian power club as unveiled at the club Northern Star stadium at Mount Barclay in front of a cross section of its fans and Board Members.

Executive officer of Nimba United Adolphus Dolo said he is happy to secure the service of the Sierra Leoneans as it was not easy for the Sierra Leonean clubs to release their players but thank God the deal has been penned and we hope they can inject new skills of expertise into the club for both the Domestic league and the CAF Champions league.

According to him the signing of the three serves as a boost ahead of the new season and they are looking forward to doing better than what we did last year as we aim to retain the title again back-back and go as far as the final in the CAF Champions league he told www.footballsierraleone.net.

The Mountaineer has been one of Liberia’s most independent Premier Club as they have signed a total of 18 new players to the team ahead of the season, with financially strong CEO Dolo reaffirmed he and the club hierarchy all in their powers to make the players happy at the club and in return they should give us laurels as we are anticipating for this season he said.

Speaking on behalf of his colleagues Lamin Janneh thanked the Nimba United board for giving them this opportunity to play for the club.  Noting they will do all in their power to play their best for the club.  We are here to play football and football we will play to the best of our ability he said.  Meanwhile the Sierra Leoneans missed their league opener on Sunday 24th January as they host Fellow Sierra Leonean Mohamed Kamara Oiliers FC due to work permit.
