Mustapha Hadji Bangura who’s Apollo fans believe he is undoubtedly the most talented player in Apollo has stated to journalists on Monday on NTV Limassol S-Sport show that is time to move on to the bigger league in Europe.
The Sierra Leonean attacking midfielder also stated he want to help his side win the Cyprus Coca Cola Cup Final slated for May 18 2011 for the second year running and move on.
“I want to get a second year of the Coca Cola cup and in the summer move to a better league. I think it is time to go somewhere higher up. “
“It’s a very nice feeling to play a cup final. I was delighted last year’s we won it. Talking about his experience this season, he said this season is the best of his career with Apollo and best in Cyprus.
About his former team Salamina “In New Salamis four years ago I had a similar season. I achieved eight goals in the league and three in cup games. On the other hand, Apollo is different. In Salamis I had different objectives and they are not the same now. Apollo strives for high positions and titles. The degree of difficulty is higher, so I think the season is the best. “
Bangura 21 has attracted interest from top European clubs, the likes of Anderlecht, Werder Bremen and Olympiakos, but the player has more love for the German and Spanish league.
“It’s nice to know many teams are interested in me, but for now I do not know anything, this issue is being handled by my agent and Apollo can’t say more. All I can attest to is the fact I still have a year contract with Apollo and I have learned a lot at Apollo, he said.
