Strasser’s Milan misses out on Italian double thumbnail

Rodney Strasser has missed out on an Italian double this year after his AC Milan side were defeated out of the Coppa Italia by Palermo on Tuesday. (Photo: Strasser and team mates)

The Sierra Leonean who was part of the Milan side that clinched the Scudetto last Saturday, his major title in his career was eyeing a double but Palermo were more than determined to make history.

Palermo reaches the final after winning by 2-1 at home to advance 4-3 on aggregate into the final, now waiting on the winner between Inter and Rome.

After the defeat at Palermo, which has sanctioned the removal from the Italian Cup, the Rossoneri have returned in Milan after the long trip gave the team two days off.

Now Strasser will be hoping Milan head Coach Allegri will keep him in the Milan side next season after his impressive performances this season.
