F.B.C Students plan to strike

Fourah Bay College students plan to go on a peaceful strike on Monday over the increase of college charges. The Student Union President, Mohamed A. Timbo has told Sierra Express Media that even when the ministry of education has cautioned the college administration to reverse the decision up till now nothing has happened yet. He further added that this coming Monday they will be engaged in a strike action by not attending classes. Adams Timbo also warned that any student found in violent activity, the students union will not interfere as they would allow the law to take it course.

President Koroma chairs one day HIV/AIDS forum

H.E Ernest Bai Koroma, serving in the capacity as Chairman for National AIDS Council on 11th November talked on the theme: “Challenges for Universal Access to HIV/AIDS prevention” at the Bintumani Hotel in Freetown. In a subsequent news conference, at the 15 Kingharman Road Secretariat the National Consultant co-ordinator for orphans and vulnerable children, Victor Brandar related to the forum as an exclusive opportunity for policy makers to meet and dialogue over pertinent issues affecting HIV/AIDS patients and helpless children.

APC Prepares 800 OSDs against 2012 Elections

What would be the faith of many Sierra Leoneans come 2012 elections is still a puzzle. It has been rumored that APC is providing training for 800 youths as OSDs in Samu in the Kambia district ahead of the 2012 elections. Sources disclosed to Sierra Express Media that the trainees are under oath in which they have chewed raw meat if they are to give unwavering support to the party come 2012.

Armed Robbers Harassed Peacock Farm

Impeccable reports have been flowing to Sierra Express Media that armed robbers are on the rampage at the Peacock Farm community in east-end part of Freetown. Residents have been worried over this wide spate robbery attacks. Another credible source has also revealed to this press that one of these robbery attacks has led to the killing of one NPA worker Mr. Yirrah and the merciless beating of his wife.
