Sierra Leone’s gospel singer Abdulai Bayoh releases 5th album “Revive Us”

Sierra Leone’s gospel singer Abdulai Bayoh releases 5th album “Revive Us” thumbnail

Abdulai Bayoh, a native of  Sierra Leone and now residing in the USA has proudly released his latest album “Revive Us.”

Abdulai, although musically talented from a young age, received his calling into the Christian ministry, with his focus on Christian music at the age of 18.

After his Christian education and recording his first project, Abdulai became a symbol of  gospel music in a culture that embraced more secular arts; he was in demand to perform internationally.  During his twelve years of ministry in West Africa, he wrote more than 300 songs, recorded four albums; executive produced three, and won five awards.  He is widely known in Sierra Leone for his popular song produced in 2004 ‘Jesus So Nice.”  Abdulai owned his own record label in Freetown and also was president for the Christian artist association (AMMSL) before relocating to the United States.

Married and blessed with a son, in 2008 Abdulai and his family permanently relocated to the USA.  A Worship Ministry major Senior at Lincoln Christian University, he has just completed his 5th album “Revive Us,” which is his first album produced in the USA under the record label of Kumlai Music, an independent Christian record label based in Central Illinois.

“Revive Us” contains eight songs; recorded with incredible industry professionals in Studio Chicago (Chicago IL), Chicago Recording Company (Chicago IL- home of artists like R. Kelly), Sound Kitchen Studios (Franklin TN – home to Cece Winans, Michael W Smith, etc.), and House of David (Nashville TN – home to Faith Hill and many others).  His mixing engineer on the album was Grammy nominated Chris Steinmetz.

Abdulai, minister, singer, and producer, is a member of ASCAP and Gospel Music Association – the association for all Christian Music professionals and labels in the United States.  Although Abdulai confesses to being obsessed with music, his love for Jesus is first and foremost in his life, together with his beautiful wife and the blessing of a very cute son, who looks very much like him!  He is very family oriented and professes his love for his amazing mother whose caring love molded him into the man he is today.

Abdulai’s other interests are football, and he states he supports the best team in the world, Arsenal … although Kaka of Real Madrid is his favorite athlete; he also enjoys the Boston Celtics NBA basketball team.  His mentors are Don Moen, Donnie Maclurkin, and Michael W Smith who are also his favorite artists.

Abdulai’s passion is to share the message of his heart and reach all nations with the eternal gospel of Jesus Christ and he certainly does that on his latest album “Revive Us” which is available in Christian bookstores and on i-tunes and Amazon.com .  He has kindly shared the track “Touch the Nation” from his latest album “Revive Us” with us which is a beautiful joyous inspirational song with a reggae theme that I never tire of listening to!
