Recently retired army personnel last week received Le 5M as insurance benefit from the Reliance Insurance Trust Corporation company (RITCORP).
The retirees are appreciative for management of RITCORP for paying five million Leones to each of them as retirement benefit and said it is evident they will use same to purchase bags of cement and trips of sand for the commencement of the construction of their houses.
“We thought RITCORP never wanted to pay us our benefit at all. It is a surprise to a good number of us that such a fabulous amount could be given us,” retired Major Sesay said.
“As from today onwards, RITCORP is my baby and I am therefore asking colleagues in active service to join the forenamed insurance company if they too want to enjoy tremendous retirement gains.”
“It is my wish to say a very big thank to the disciplined, accommodating and dynamic RITCORP Managing Director Mrs. Onomakie, who, in her wisdom and human consideration unfailingly fast tracked the payment process for us retirees.”
Payment, according to the Managing Director, began last week and has ended.
She said cheques were issued to junior and senior retirees, including a Major and a Warrant Officer class one.
In an interview with a retiree, who said he was just from an assignment in Darfur-Sudan, he nevertheless told our reporter that he appreciates Mrs. Onomakie for her efforts and will at all times say good things about her company.
“I will surely use my influence in the Army to convince serving Army personnel join RITCORP. To me, RITCORP is here to alleviate the economic burden of soldiers generally,” he said.
