Sierra Leone’s CAF representative, FC Kallon were held to a goalless draw on Saturday by their Nigeria counterparts, Warri Wolves FC at the National Stadium in Freetown.
The stadium was jam packed as Sierra Leoneans stormed the stadium in full support of FC Kallon who displayed a thrilling performance. It all ended in a goal drought as both sides failed to shake the back net.
The Warri boys entertained a defensive match away and went home with a vital point.
The result left FC Kallon’s Technical Director, Musa Kallon saying football is a game of two halves. “It is not over yet, football is a game of two equal chances.” “We are optimistic and could still secure a win away as we’ve gone into their game and understood their strengths and their pitfalls”, the technical Kallon says. The second leg comes up in two weeks time, on April 7 in Nigeria.
