Kamboi Eagles of Kenema on Monday April 16 defeated the Freetown City FC by 1-0 in the ongoing Sierra Leone Premier League at the National Stadium main bowl in Freetown.
Jaward Bindi scored the only goal of the match from a rebound in the mid of second half.
Kamboi Eagles’ performances in previous league matches have not been fruitful but their ball possession and overall performance was fantastic even though they wasted several goal scoring chances.
FCFC are occupying the bottom of the table and their performances are disappointing this season having only 6 points in 12 matches.
Speaking to Sierra Express media, Kamboi Eagles’ Head Coach, Mustapha Kaisamba said he is delighted with the performance of his players. He expressed optimism that the second round will shine their prospect.
In yesterday’s action match, Mighty Blackpool engaged Central Parade at 5pm and East-End Lions engage FC Johansen at 7:00pm. Both matches were played at the National Stadium in Freetown.
