Man rapes girl 4

David Kanu 48 year old adult of 16 Canton Street, Freetown, in the judicial district of the Republic of Sierra Leone on Wednesday the 21st Match 2012 appeared before Magistrate Komba Kamada of Court No.2 for unlawful carnal knowledge, on two count charges namely, abuse of young girl contrary to Section 6 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Children Act Caps 31 of the Laws of Sierra Leone 1960 and Indecent Assault Contrary to Section 9 of the Laws of Sierra Leone 1960.

According to the father of the four year old girl the accused David Kanu was his friend and he was fond of his children and on that day he told the accused person to escort the four year old girl to school but instead he took her elsewhere.

Magistrate Komba Kamanda asked the secretary to read the two count charges in Court for the accused person. 

According to Magistrate Komba Kamanda the evidences he have before him show enough proof to send the matter to the High Court of Sierra Leone. The accused person pleaded not guilty and appealed to the Magistrate for bail and he went on to say that he would like to talk in the High Court because he has a witness that will prove him innocent in the High Court.
