With your help, we could bring hundreds of Solar Suitcases to Uganda in partnership with African Medical Research Foundation (AMREF) and White Ribbon Alliance!
AMREF is a finalist in the “Saving Lives at Birth” Grand Challenge, sponsored by USAID, The Gates Foundation, Canadian Grand Challenges, Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and UK Aid. The AMREF proposal addresses maternal and infant mortality in Southwest Uganda, where 66% of women deliver at home, and most health facilities are without electricity. Your vote can help us bring light, power and better maternal health care to Southwest Uganda.
AMREF’s Saving Mothers and Babies with Reliable Solar Power project improves maternal and child health care by bringing 200 communities:
Please sign up on the Saving Lives at Birth website, and vote for the Saving Mothers and Babies with Reliable Solar Power project by AMREF. A few minutes of your time to sign up and vote can mean a lifetime of difference to a family.

Smart Planet posted a new video about We Care Solar that you can access here: Solar Suitcase Supplied Electricity to the Developing World.
