Hundreds of supporters of the ruling All Peoples Congress (APC) in Constituency 102, Kissy community have expressed dissatisfaction over the performance approaches of their Honorable Member of Parliament and Councilors with specific reference to developing their community.
They said they will not vote to maintain politicians who have reneged on their duties and responsibilities by failing to improve infrastructural development in their community.
According to Osman Koroma a strong supporter of the ruling All People’s Congress, 45% of the population in Kissy are youths and women without jobs. He explained this further to mean it is shameful to brandish support for such class of politicians who end at nothing at the end of the day but dump and forget them in the manner they would treat trash cans.
Osman said developments enhanced by their politicians are not feasible arguing this to the fact that if changes must be enhanced it has to start off from the dynamic quality of leadership representation, which they are now seeking to have.
He said since they elected their Member of Parliament and the Councilors they are yet to register pragmatic developments that would convince them as electorates to vote in order to maintain then.
Osman called on President Koroma to adhere to what he said during the launching of the Biometric voter Registration on January 21st this year, at the Attouga Mini stadium, which is that “If any parliamentarian or Councilor of the ruling party believes that he or she should be awarded a symbol based on political patronage lobbying or affiliation, that person might be making the lousiest of mistakes because this time round only those candidates approved by their people are the one the party would be awarding symbols”.
He further told this press that, this time round they are determined to change the whole lot of them and give support to other aspiring candidates.
Another Kissy resident told Sierra Express Media that President Koroma has done much in seeing that Sierra Leone moves forward in terms of development, but it is a contrast as it is at the moment that his MPs and councilors are not matching his trends.
Editor’s note: However, we will try to bring you what the MP and Councilors of Constituency 102 make of this indictment by their constituents in our subsequent editions.
