Magistrate Komba Kamanda of Court No 2  found Mohamed Bangura of No 158 off Bai Bureh Road Quarry, Kissy, guilty on a count of assault, occasioning actual bodily harm to the complainant Fatmata Kamara

He ruled on Friday July 12 last week that the accused be fined the sum of Le 250, 000 or risk being sent to prison for a period of 3 months. The accused was acquitted and discharged on count two, common assault as a result of bad charging by the police in law.

Meanwhile, Mohamed is also required to pay as compensation, the sum of  Le 240,000 to the complainant Fatmata Kamara on or before 24th July 2012.

The accused was earlier brought to court December 7th, 2011 for above alleged offences to which he pleaded not guilty.
