NEC messes up Voter ID Cards in Mile 91 and Yoni

NEC messes up Voter ID Cards in Mile 91 and Yoni thumbnail

Mile 91, July 18  (SLENA): As the National Electoral Commission at Yoni and Mile 91 in particular conducts its final round of exhibition of Voter I.D. Cards, many citizens have expressed their frustration at the Commission for issuing ID cards carry names but have different photographs.

Some residents at Mile 91 and Magburaka and its environs have expressed dissatisfaction over the exercise.

Speaking to one affected resident, Momodu Koroma at Yonibana said NEC bungled the whole exercise as the ID card handed to him did not carry his own photograph. He said when he protested he was given the opportunity to re-register and was promised another ID card to be issued soon.

He however described the situation as embarrassing. NEC officials in Yoni are however making frantic effort to correct the errors.
