Ramadan is here

Ramadan is here thumbnail

Sierra Express Media here welcomes the holy month of fasting – Ramadan – as it is called in Arabic.  It comes with mixed ideologies in terms of observing its rites. Islam prescribes serenity and pious life during the observance of the period, and so many annihilations comes by it in terms of keeping a solemn life.

In Sierra Leone, this month has increased pressure on economic activities as prices of basic commodities keep swagging to indefinite calculus.

This screws down to the question of what the Government has done or is still doing in terms of cushioning the effect on pricing mechanics that seem to be hitting up the pocket sizes of family heads.

Apart from dozing the score fact that benevolence is measured in abundance when gauging the Islamic concept on the importance of the month of Ramadan, we have a mountain of immoralities scolding the behest of the country’s social life.

Islam prohibits such, and especially over the fact that it depicts fasting to be one of the most blessed undertakings mankind would venture.

In this delight, we at Sierra Express Media declare Ramadanul Karim with wishes that Muslims the world over would observe it thick and thin.
