Manchester City were held to a 2-2 draw with Lumley Strikers on Monday at the Parade playing field in central Freetown.

Manchester City FC’s talisman Mohamed Mansaray opened the score line mid of the first half from a defensive blunder before the break. Lumley Strikers FC midfield maestro Alie Colisee leveled the score in the 48th minute.

City’s winger Oko Kamara’s low cross settled their lead in the 71st minute, much to the annoyance of Nigerian born second half substitute, Kazeem who parried a beautiful shot leveler, making the score 2-2.

Leone Stars legend, Mohamed Kallon who came in as a second half substitute for Manchester City, told Sierra Express Media Sports when interviewed that he was delighted over the performance of his team in the entire showdown.

Lumley Strikers played with stars such as Christian Caulker, Salifu Samura, Sulaiman Bangura, Mohamed Bangura, Omega Toronka, and Alie Colisee, but coach-Kemokai Kallon said there are several remaining big names missing in his squad still to make presence.

The Central One Football Association (COFA) inter community 2012 competition will commence first week in August and all matches will be played at the Parade playing field, chairman-Sama Sesay revealed.
