Attorney General and Minister of Justice Hon. Franklyn Bai Kargbo Saturday September 1st signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Government of Sierra Leone and British based private company Grosvenor Investment Holding for partnership in executing several key projects in Sierra Leone.
According to the MOU signed by Minister Franklyn Kargbo, Sierra Leone has entered into a commercial agreement with Grosvenor Investment Holding for undertaking individual projects based on satisfactory evaluation and noted that most of which should be revenue generating projects.
Among the projects to be undertaken between the GOSL and Grosvenor Investment Holding are the development of a new airport, a new refinery, expansion of current marine port, development of a new port at Sulima, social housing development site, different producing factories, and a new market site.
The MOU notes that GOSL and Grosvenor Investment Holding will both ensure that they meet their financial and technical obligations towards the MOU.
Speaking after the signing of the MOU Attorney General and Minister of Justice Hon. Franklyn Hon Kargbo noted that the nation stands to benefit lots of new infrastructure from the projects which will help develop the beauty and importance of Sierra Leone.
Hon. Kargbo added that over $300 million will be invested within the next five years in Sierra Leone and he therefore called on all to support the intervention of the British company to this nation.
