Paramount Chief of Kamabai, PC Alimamy Salifu Mana Kalawa, on Sunday 14th October assured President Ernest Bai Koroma of victory in the Novenber 17th Elections.
HE President Ernest Bai Koroma was visiting the northern provincial town of Karina where throngs of APC party die-hards congregated to pay obeisance and loyalty to him.
PC Kalawa pointed out that both the people of Karina and Kamabai are one, and are united for a common goal, and that goal is to ensure the president wins a second term of office.
The Paramount Chief noted that before he assumed the rein of chieftaincy in July 2010 he noticed that the APC did not score as was expected in the 2007 elections but however boasted that ‘the story has changed now,’ and therefore assured the president that his people have promised to vote overwhelmingly for President Koroma and the APC in the upcoming November polls.
Paramount Chief Kalawa extolled the President for his intervention into the rift between the people of Kamabai and that of Karina and how he was able to resolve it amicably.
He further lauded the APC for awarding symbol to a female contestant in Constituency 34 and the president’s developmental strides that have over run the entire country.
In his keynote address, Alhaji Usman Boie Kamara, who is fondly called Usu Boie, a henchman of President Koroma revealed to the august crowd of supporters present that he was delighted to be in the company of his ‘friend and brother, his Excellency the president Ernest Bai Koroma in his visit to the town’.
Usu Boie noted that it was in Karina that he publicly revealed that he is not a member of any political party of the country, but rather a pro-Ernest Bio Koroma activist who believes in the visionary leadership of the president and the developmental strides he has been able to demonstrate in just five years in office.
Usu Boie entreated the town folks to vote amass for President Koroma in the upcoming 2012 November elections and support the president’s aspiration to make Sierra Leone a better place.
Usu Boie catalogued the achievements so far in office and his support for President Koroma’s second term of office. He then beseeched his towns-mates to be peaceful and law abiding, especially during the electioneering process.
Many other eminent personalities gave laudable statements about the president and pledged their total support for him.
The meeting was climaxed with celebrations by hundreds of supporters in their usual red APC colours.
