This press has learnt that there is an illegal jetty operating at Deep-Eye Water, Freetown Waterloo Highway, just a few meters away from the police station.
According to source this illegal jetty is own by a fuel station on the highway approaching Waterloo.
Investigations have proved that senior police officers in the east are fully aware of the operations of the illegal operation.
According to latest reports there is a fuel smuggling syndicate in operation which the police are aware of but are deliberately ignoring.
The latest incident of a controversial fuel transporting from the said jetty to the station happened 18th October 2012 at about 2:28 am when an unregistered vehicle loaded with fuel discharged its content at the station in question.
This press is calling on the attention of the Inspector General of Police Mr. Francis Munu to investigate that trouble spot.
