WAFU U-20 to Resume Today thumbnail

The Sierra Leone U-20 national team, Shooting Stars will today Tuesday 23rd October 2012 commence training sessions at the Football Academy, Kingtom, in preparation for the West Africa Football Union U-20 slated for next month in Ghana.

Speaking to the Head Coach of the Team, Lamin Bangura (in photo), he said 35 players will resume training sessions for the tournament slated for 15th to 28th November 2012 in Ghana.

“U-20 is participating as a guest team but the participation of the team is important for the player’s”, he said.

“The players are selected from clubs across the country and we hope they will be punctual and be disciplined if they want to be part of my squad that will be eligible to travel to Ghana”, he warned.

I have a good relationship with my assistant, Bobson Sesay and also a good relationship with the football secretariat and the minister, Paul Kamara, he said.
