Sixty Barrels of Palm Oil Seized


The police in Kambia are investigating the circumstances that led to the arrest of Madam Aminata Sesay for smuggling sixty drums of palm oil.


Madam Aminata Sesay, a prominent business woman was allegedly smuggling the palm oil to neighbouring Guinea when she was caught.


The Kambia Police say they got a tip off at the Bamoi Luma junction that the business woman was traveling with huge amounts of five gallon rubbers in a vehicle driven by Lamina Kamara of Rokupr and that they were heading for Guinea without any authorisation letter from the security.


The palm oil will be auctioned to the public, the Local Unit Commander of the Kambia Police Station, Superintendent Foday Conteh has disclosed to this paper
