60 Drivers Charged to Court

Police sources had intimated to Sierra Express that over 60 drivers have been charged to court within the two-week period.

Speaking to Sierra Express, the head of Kissy Traffic Division, Inspector  J F. Tumbay, said following the two week old “Operation Zero Tolerance” on reckless driving, an approximate number of 60 eastern drivers have so far been charged to court for various offences ranging from lacking valid licenses and other documents to defects on their vehicles.

He reiterated that they are determined more than ever to reduce the level of indiscipline which the drivers are displaying in the execution of their duties. He said they have also been cautioning the drivers to treat the passengers as their masters and not their servants.
