Land Mark Manager Complains Lebanese Unfair Treatment

The General Manager of Land Mark Travel Agencies, Mr. Francis Lamboi, has written a letter of complaint to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transport and Aviation against the unfair treatment given to him by Astreaus Airlines operators in Freetown.

Explaining his ordeal to Sierra Express, he said he has also written and instructed the company’s Solicitor to warn the Managing Director of Astreaus Airlines, Mr. Khalil Lakish to realize that he is not an indigene of this country to deprive Sierra Leoneans from operating in their own country.

Mr. Lamboi further pointed out that despite the fact that Mr. Lakish is running a travel agency he also acts as Booking and General Sales Agents for Astreaus Airlines.

He said that for sometime now they have doing business with Astreaus Airlines on behalf of their customers as travel agent.

Mr. Lamboi said that because they have gained a lot of customers, the Astreaus management now out rightly refuses to attend to their customers because they regard them as a threat to their business.

As far as one can see they have embarked on this course to frustrate us because they are running a rival concern and they think we are taking business out of their hands, Mr. Lamboi observed.

He opined that this unfair treatment must not be tolerated because Mr. Khalil Lakish should realize that they set up the airlines to serve the people of Sierra Leone and not to embarrass them.

Mr. Lamboi maintained that they have never owed money to Astreaus nor have they transgressed any of their rules and conditions.

When this paper tried to contact Mr. Lakish on the matter he refused to talk to us.
