"A Draw is not enough for
us"
Under 20 Shooting Stars and Mighty Blackpool midfielder maestro Abu Tommy,
aka Steven Gerard, has said that Shooting Stars 1-1 draw with the Tranga Cubs of Senegal is not enough for them to proceed
to the next stage of the CAF 16th Edition Youth Championship in Rwanda 2009, adding that a must win should have been more
acceptable than this draw.

He made this disclosure to Sierra
Express Sport yesterday after his self training exercise at the National Stadium in Freetown. He said this result has
made things more difficult for the team when they will face their Senegalese counterpart in Senegal with barely twelve more
days to go.
"We must not allow any goal in Senegal as we must qualify at every cost,"
he stressed.
The 18 year old midfielder said Shooting Stars had four great chances during
the match but all went fruitless maintaining that if they had made good use of those opportunities they would have been more
comfortable.
He said they were now going to mount a formidable attacking formation in Senegal
in order to get goals, noting that if they allowed themselves to be in the defending position it will be very difficult for
them.
He maintained that he was expecting the technical team to still camp the team until the
second leg due to the result, but to his dismay they have decided to dismiss players from camp and order them to report for
training on Friday, April 25, which, according to him, does not show any form of professionalism of the technical team.
He said
they should be mindful that Senegal is not going to be an easy one as they are going to face humiliation from both the Senegalese
supporters and players.
"If only we can maintain the pressure in Senegal it would be great for
us," he concluded.
