I Support Khadi for Another Term
|
| Nahim
Khadi, SLAJ President |
The newly elected President of the West Africa Football Union
(WAFU) Dr. Amos Adamu has said that he is totally in support of Mr.Nahim Khadi for another term as President of the Sierra
Leone Football Association (SLFA) because he has done tremendously well in reviving football in the country.
Dr.Adamu
said Nahim Khadi took over the Association at a time when Sierra Leone football was going down the drain, but with determination
he was able to bring back high standard and discipline into the game.
The Nigerian FA boss
maintains that only detractors who do not mean well for football in this country would like to see Khadi out without accomplishing
his dream.
On the issue of pledging loyalty to the dream team led by Mr. Foday Bangso, Mohamed Nabie
and Little Boy Rodney Michael for the forthcoming SLFA Congress slated for May 25 this year in Kiodu, he said he has not had
any talk with these people and never made the promise to them that he will financially support them in their campaigning against
Nahim Khadi for the Presidency of SLFA.
He warned them to desist from using his name in this business.
"I
have known Nahim Khadi for many years and I will not allow anybody to destroy our relationship. Moreover we are brothers and
we belong to the WAFU Family", he stressed.
Meanwhile after spending three days with Dr. Amos Adamu in
Nigeria, he and Mr. Khadi traveled to Ivory Coast to witness the official handing over ceremony of outgoing President Jacques
Anaima to Dr. Amos Adamu from where they will leave for their respective countries today.
