Sierra Leone most prolific soccer wizard, Lamin Suma, aka
Christiano Ronaldo, who has just been called to boost the U-20 Squad for the second leg encounter against the Tranga Cubs
of Senegal has over the weekend disclosed to Sierra Express Sports that he will make the difference in Dakar when his side
(Shooting Stars) lock horns with their Senegalese counterparts on Saturday, May 3 in Dakar.
He said
the team played very well but mid first half the entire team lost concentration, which the visitors quickly capitalized on
which netted them a goal.
Christiano Ronaldo, as he is popularly known nationwide, said from his previous
training with the team he is totally convinced that they are going to eliminate Senegal from this tournament, noting that
they have all worked together to make this success. The 17 year soccer wizard who is very skilful and crafty whenever on the
ball said playing in an all attacking will help Shooting Stars in Dakar, maintaining that if they played a different match
it would be difficult for them to achieve goals.
"We are going to maintain an all out pressure on Senegal
in order for us to go the next stage," he stressed.
Suma who has had European experience in Italy, France, Belgium,
Iceland, Norway and Sweden has also been called by Head Coach, Ahmed Kanu, to join the national team, Leone Stars, ahead of
their 2010 World Cup and Nations' Cup qualifications. Kanu says Suma is a very good and crafty player who is very sensitive
on the ball.
"He plays a high energy game and he is a utility player as he was the
brain our goal in the Gambia", he pointed out.
Assistant Team Coordinator of the U-20, Mr. Morrison Sannoh,
said the inclusion of Lamin Suma in to the U-20 Squad for this second leg is just timely whereas his presence into the team
is a big boost.
