Peacebuilding Commission’s Country-Specific Meetings on Sierra Leone.

Francis Gabbidon - Arrested
Mr. Francis Gabbidon, former Ombudsman of the Republic of Sierra Leone was arrested on Thursday, April 17, 2008 by
the Anti-Corruption Commission which is investigating allegations of offences contrary the Anti-Corruption Act 2000 as amended.
The investigation concerns Mr. Gabbidon’s tenure as Ombudsman between 2000 and 2007 and he is currently helping the
Commission with its enquiries.

Commission (ACC) on Thursday 6th March 2008 arrested 12 (twelve) Officials of the Customs and Excise Department
of the National Revenue Authority (NRA) and 1 (one) Police Officer, for various offences under the Anti-Corruption Act 2000
(as amended). The 13 (thirteen) Officials are currently assisting the Commission
