Baby abandons Baby in Hospital

Reports from the Southern City of Bo indicate that one suckling mother whose name is known as just Baby, has abandoned her one month old child at the Medicine Sans Frontiers (MSF), hospital at Gondama, nine miles off Bo recently.

According to some nurses who were on duty during the time they said the mother was hospitalized, the one month child looks malnourished and pale. The nurses from this symptoms suspected that the child must have been suffering from lack of good care.

One nurse told our reporter that after administering treatment to the child he went fast asleep and later shocked to learn that mother had sneaked from the hospital.

The one month old is presently in the safe hands of the nurses who are taking good care of him and he is responding to treatment.
