On 20th and 21st March, 2008, Sierra Leone will host a Marshal Arts competition against Nigeria, at the National Stadium. The competition will be between the Sierra Leone Association of Marshal Arts and that of Nigeria. Speaking to our reporter, the chief coach of the Sierra Leone Marshal Arts Association, Mohamed M. Kamara, commonly known as Med King, revealed that after this competition in Freetown, their will be a return leg in Nigeria.

Med King explained that since the formation of the association, two years ago, the Ministry of Sports has not been paying proper attention to Marshall Arts. He however commended Mr. Wayne Shoyer, a British philanthropist, for supplying the association with fighting uniforms and other necessities. He explained that Mr. Shoyer has offered to camp the team in Kono for better preparation for the competition as the Nigerian opponents are a well organized side. According to Med King, the assistance of Mr. Shoyer has helped in the opening of a shadow Institute of Marshal Arts in Kono. Med King also said that Mr. Shoyer has assisted the association by employing them into his Security Company called Praetorian Secutiry Guard.
