No security threat for Small-Bo
Chiefdom
Gloria Macauley, the officer in charge of Blama in the Small Bo Chiefdom, Kenema
District has assured her residents that there is no security threat to worry about.
OIC Macauley
told our Southern Province correspondent at her Sombo Street residence recently that her area is crime free, stating that
her able police officers have been vigilant in security matters.
Asked about the political chemistry in that part of the country
considering the political pluralism in recent times, she said in concert with her female counterpart Commissioner east, Elizabeth
Turay, they were able to put modalities in place to maintain a steady calm and peaceful environment for the citizens.
Despite
the looming clashes of political parties during the electioneering process, the duo mediated peace among the three political
parties in that part of the country.
The political opponents are reportedly romancing and interacting at social
gatherings such as sports, games, dance with each other on a daily basis, she boasted.
The female
Police Commander Macauley stated further, that the people in her jurisdiction have buried political sentiments and are now
twined to promote development in that area.
She commended the local authorities and government functionaries
in the area for being hard workers in making up a friendly environment.
OIC Macauley noted that
the chiefdom and corresponding areas are business oriented and not problematic; this signaled that no crime will survive in
the area as there are lots of crime busters in her Police Station to contain any crime before it becomes serious, she noted,
adding that cases of assault and related crime are the only real ones she has recorded so far.
