Police Frustrate Medico
Local
Unit Commander (LUC) of 'D' Divisional Headquarters Kissy, Superintendent UP, Kamara, is currently investigating an
alleged theft of Le 26 Million. According to the police, one Dr. Mohamed Sinneh Kamara, aka MSK, recently
reported that he had Le 26 Million stolen.
Addressing the press at 90 Cemetery Road Calaba Town, Dr.
Kamara disclosed that he made a report at the CID branch, Kissy Police Station, about the loss of Le 26Millio,n suspected
to have been stolen from him by one Alinda Kanu, a nurse working at the Calaba Town Health Center.
Dr. Kamara
explained that he is extremely disappointed at the LUC's conduct. He added that the LUC bragged he
was sending the case file to the Legal One for an expert opinion. What surprises everyone is when MSK explained
that the LUC is seeking legal advice on a simple larceny matter. "In fact I will be traveling next
week Monday to London and there is no way the police could be of help to get me my money. How can Sierra
Leoneans return home to contribute in nation building when people like Supt. UP Kamara is bent on frustrating our efforts?"
Dr. Sinneh said with vexation.
Dr MSK promised to handle the matter with utmost seriousness
and may report the matter to the CDIID. "I am very much prepared to explain to the BBC my nasty experience
with the Sierra Leone Police so that the British government will know how they are spending their money," Dr. MSK told
the press.
According to him it is frustrating to know that he will not get his money when his family
is languishing in the cold and his building project has been reversed and brought to a standstill.
The matter
has now been brought to the attention of the no nonsense Regional Commander Western Area, AIG SIS Koroma (SISCO). AIG
Koroma has assured Dr. MSK of dispensing justice in the matter. Because of his no nonsense attitude, SISCO
has demanded the case file be sent to his office for proper perusal. As at press time, the police have
blatantly refused to interrogate the suspect and have been spewing offensive words at Dr. Kamara in the presence of the police
officers.
Inside sources of the police revealed that the suspect has been shaking hands with some
senior police officers that are making the case to have a slow pace. Even though all witnesses in the case
have made their statement to the police, the LUC is reluctantly dragging his feet in the case which is frustrating Dr. Kamara.
Several efforts have been made by this press to get the LUC to explain his
own side of the story but to-date this has proved futile. LUC UP Kamara is reluctant to talk to the press
for reasons best known to him.
