Customers of Western Union Money Transfer on the Rampage

The office of the Western Union Money Transfer in Makeni was yesterday stormed by angry customers who have not been able to receive their money on time due to unspecified lapses.

The angry customers, according to reports, went berserk at the office while demanding payment of their money, or a clear explanation from the management as to what has led to the unusual delay in receiving their monies.

One of the protesting customers, Amie Sesay, who is from Binkolo six miles off Makeni, says she has traveled to and from Binkolo for two days but is yet to be given access to her transfer. Another customer, Laminatu Kamara says she has not even been allowed to fill in a form for her transfer, let alone payment and when she questioned why, the frustration met with little or no explanation from management.

One Mr. Bayo purported to be heading the management in Makeni declined from commenting on the issue.
