Arts Tradi-Control Production, an Ivorian Training Institution, is currently in Freetown trying to seek ways to organize a Mano River Union (MRU) Peace and Reconciliation Campaign. The Campaign is due to commence in Freetown on 11th and 12th May 2008, and end in Abidjan.

According to Arts Tradi-Control General Manager, Tim Opy, the purpose of the campaign is to promote Peace and Reconciliation in the four MRU countries. He narrated to Sierra Express that all the countries in the MRU have had rebel war and therefore there is the need for this kind of campaign.

Mr. Opy explained that Sierra Leone is the starting point and it will be followed by Liberia, Guinea and Ivory Coast.

The guest of honor of the campaign shall be Ivorian born mega star, Alpha Blondy. It is scheduled that President Ernest Bai Koroma will be awarded at the end of the Freetown campaign.

According to Mr. Opy, organizers have already received the consent of the MRU Secretary General, Abraham Boure in Freetown, and he has expressed his willingness to support the campaign.
