Establishment Secretary Defies Minister

According to reports reaching the Sierra Express Media, the Deputy Establishment Secretary, one Mr. Sandy, the Secretary - Mrs. Cummings, and Mr. Mansaray, all of the Information Ministry have defied orders that Mr. Anthony Bai Kamara, whose salary has been allegedly chopped by senior officials since January 2004 should be reinstated.

According to sources, Mr. Anthony Bai Kamara has served over 30 years in the Information Ministry as cameraman.

Confirmed sources state that he suffered intimidation during the SLPP government because of suspicious APC connections.

In the name of the APC, Mr. Anthony was thrown down the government of the SLPP, for over four years, where the Establishment Secretary - Mrs. Cummings and two others have been in the act of attempting to deprive the family.

According to the latest development on this matter. a letter of complaint from the Ministry with Ref: M1/PF/434, dated 18th January this year from the desk of the Permanent Secretary to the Establishment Secretary, on the way forward to pay the said amount to the rightful owner according to the memorandum; the Minister has thought it fit that the decision of the ministry be reversed on humanitarian grounds Mr. Anthony Bai Kamara is re-instated back to his official with 4 years backlog.

The permanent secretary warned the establishment secretary in his letter that they use their good office with a view in making all necessary arrangements for the backlog payment of the 4 years salary to be paid to Mr. Anthony.
