Radio Bankasoka Has Transmitter Problem

The Station Manager of Radio Bankasoka of Port Loko, Mr. Rhoda Bangura, has disclosed that the Minister of Transport and Aviation has identified the cause which made the radio going off last Wednesday.

Technicians are now working round the clock to put Bankasoka back as the station FM 97.5 transmitter is inadequate for the gadgets unless they increase the wattage.  Speaking to one listener of Bankasoka, Pa Santigie Bangura of Queen Arena said the district and the township is in total blackout for news because the radio has made us develop the culture of radio listening.

Meanwhile, all the district parliamentarians have been summoned to an important meeting to discuss the way forward to elevate the status of the radio.
