Bomb at Calaba Town

The decade old concluded rebel war in Sierra Leone is continuing to have its toll on the country.  Very recently one woodcutter; Adekalie Kamara, discovered an incendiary material that was later revealed by experts as a bomb or explosive.

According to Adekalie Kamara, he left his home to fetch wood and on reaching the middle of the bush he saw a green color metal (combat color) firmly placed between some rocks inside the ground.  He then alerted his colleague who came to him and suggested that the said metal might be a bomb.  Adekalie Kamara said that he became paniced when his friend told him that, and both of them ran away for fear that the bomb will explode. He said both of them tried to contact the police on the normal 112 emergency number but it proved futile.  It was then that they contacted Africell and asked them to help inform the police.  That proved to be success and after some time the police contacted the military.  The military then sent their experts and the bomb was defused.
