APC Parliamentarian May Split Wellington

The supporters of the All Peoples’ Congress Party (APC) at Wellington are prepared to disappoint their parliamentary representative Hon. Victoria Saidu Kamara. and support Mohamed Tholley as an independent candidate if the latter does not get the APC party symbol for the local council elections.

A strong APC supporter, Mohamed Kanu, told Sierra Express that Hon. Victoria Saidu Kamara is imposing her candidate on the people but it will surprise her when strong party members will fight back and place an independent candidate. Mr. Kanu said that the community will support one Mr. Tholley instead of the unpopular Abibatu Kamara that is being chosen by the MP.

Mohamed Kanu insisted that the community’s choice is Mr. Tholley and if the APC does not give him the symbol they will support him as an independent candidate. Another resident of Wellington, Pastor A. Kamara, said that Mr. Tholley has been a rock of support for the youths of Wellington. According to him he always supports the youths so these young people will continue supporting the party.
